For the Most Part…

This is where for the most part I’m calling this project done. Grant it Gregg needs to put trim pieces down before he thinks it’s done but 99.9% is done. He also has an idea to put up some chair railing in there but if he does that I hope we put the upstairs paint on the bottom half to pull the two stories together.

Kitchen Old Floor Meet New Dining Room Floor

Front Yard Meet Back Yard

After last weekend’s power trouble we had some good/bad news about what we could do about wanting a driveway. Our neighbor, Mayor Bob told us that our trouble with they alleyway wouldn’t really go away unless we took our nextdoor neighbor to court. And frankly they are a little crazy & we really don’t want that kind of trouble. So the good news was that he said since we have our parking pad out front that we should just go though a couple of our trees into the back then put the garage there. He said we wouldn’t need a permit for the driveway.

Finishing, I don’t think so!

Almost there until the heavens opened up & the rain fell on the set up we had outside to cut the boards up with. As you can see we didn’t have much left to do in the dining room.

What it will seem to look like when it’s finished. Looks good doesn’t it?

Starting, I don’t think so!

Well we would have gotten started on finishing the floor today in the dining room if we didn’t notice the eletricity going in & out with a buzzing noise. So Gregg flipped the breakers switches to see if it was a inside the house problem or not. That didn’t do anything so he went outside to check the line coming into the house & that’s when he saw the pole in front of our house shooting off sparks & a green flame from it. The fire station sent a few firemen to our house which blocked traffic on our road until the power was able to remotely turn off power from the pole. Then sent a nice man to come out & change the fuses on the pole. So boom hours later we have lovely power again.
