Spackle, Sand, Spackle, Floor

Going to have to catch you guys up on all the progress, we wanted to hide some of our work so family didn’t know how much we had done until D-Day (July 4th). We all agree we hate spackling & sanding but putting down some floor really made us feel like we were getting a lot closer. But we had to seal up the floor before we put our tile down.

Got to wait an hour before we can put the floor down

For the flooring I picked Armstrong’s Cresando which of course we picked up at Lowe’s. I picked it because it has the look of slate but with out the trouble of slate. And since we live in the slate belt it only makes sense to use it especially since we know this house had a slate roof at one time.

That’s it the first tile is down no going back now

Once you start you don’t want to stop.

Floor for the closet

Well what goes down before painting must be covered. So we were going to have no idea what our wall paint would look like with our new floor until almost the last day. What made me laugh when we were covering the floor was that, wasn’t it funny that when we brought the house we had pink all over the house & now even though it was temporary was that we now had pink again in the house. This girl isn’t really fond of pink.

Pink is back
Not pretty but better than trying to clean paint off the floor later
